If you've spent any time around Babylon CrossFit, you've probably seen Coach Nicki leading our kids' classes, cheering on athletes, and bringing energy to everything she does. As the Manager of our Kids Program, her passion is helping young athletes build confidence through movement.
But before becoming a coach, Nicki first walked through our doors in August 2020 with a very different goal—to meet the physical standards of the physical fitness test to become a police officer.
At the time, she couldn't even do a single push-up. She knew the physical demands of the academy would be challenging, and she refused to let a lack of strength stand in the way of her dream career.
Growing up, Nicki danced and played volleyball, but CrossFit introduced her to a whole new level of physical and mental challenge. Along the way, she also overcame back surgery, using CrossFit to rebuild her strength and confidence.
"CrossFit taught me that progress isn't about being perfect—it's about showing up and getting a little better every day. I wanted to help other people experience that feeling too."
Today, Nicki leads Babylon CrossFit Kids and also works one-on-one with athletes of all ages. Whether she's coaching a three-year-old through an obstacle course or helping an adult achieve their first pull-up, her goal is always the same: to help people realize they're capable of more than they think.
Six years after joining Babylon CrossFit, Nicki achieved the goal that brought her here—becoming a police officer. She credits CrossFit with giving her the strength, confidence, and resilience to get there, and now she's passionate about helping others discover what they're capable of too.
Whether you're looking to build confidence, get stronger, or you're pursuing a career in law enforcement and need help meeting the physical standards, Coach Nicki would love to help. No matter where you're starting, she's passionate about helping every athlete reach goals they once thought were out of reach.
