The fundraiser will be held at a local Crossfit gym this week.

A fundraiser will be held in Babylon this week to help raise money for a 10-year-old diagnosed with diabetes.

The event will be held on Friday, August 30 at the Babylon Crossfit on 158 E. Main Street starting at 7:30 p.m.

Proceeds will go towards helping 10-year-old Aidan, who was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic, a life threatening autoimmune disease.

His family is hoping to get him a diabetic service dog from the The Fetch Foundation in Arizona. The dog will be able to predict rapid blood sugar changes 10 minutes ahead of all his devices.

Aidan’s family did a ton of research to find a company that rescues dogs from shelters and turns them into service dogs.

During the event, members of the local CrossFit community will be competing in a competition for this strong little boy to get his service/rescue dog.
